Few days ago, Acid Black Cherry announced that he would start a new project called "Shangri-la" this summer. Finally, the official website opened on March 5th and the contents of the project began to become gradually apparent.

"Shangri-la" project is a project for the people who love yasu's music; this project will connect their smiles. "new songs release", "all over Japan 5 blocks & 5 periods, nationwide tour", "in each region, establish the opportunity and event to get in touch with everybody" will be carried out in parallel.

Also, this "If I can make you smile with my songs, then I want to sing... in your town" project is a project thought by yasu himself. Recently, Acid Black Cherry concert tickets have become very difficult to get, always get sold out instantaneously. Many fans who really want to go to the concerts are not able to go because they couldn't get hold of any ticket. When that happens, going to the larger venues is the normal way, but yasu's thought is a little different (he doesn't like to be far from his fans during concerts, hence even in arena, he always uses center-stage so all the fans can see him clearly and equally from any angle). Furthermore, if he holds a long tour, he will not be able to release new songs. He has always been fighting with this dilemma.

In order to overcome this dilemma, a tour will be divided into 5 blocks & 5 periods, in parallel to the release of the new songs.

The details of the dates and venues are still not available, but yasu said, "I want to go to all prefectures!” So, there is no doubt that there will be a chance to meet Acid Black Cherry throughout Japan. This will be the largest major project in Acid Black Cherry history.

Moreover, there will be meeting events, to get in touch with everybody in each area. Thus, there may be some other surprise LIVEs in store as well. In any case, more information will be announced at the "Shangri-la" official site.

From all the smiles of the fans who love yasu's music, yasu's smile also will be floating through this project.

On January 9th, live event “Acid Black Cherry & BREAKERZ 5th Anniversary Live ‘Acid BREAKERZ Cherry 69-sixnine-’“ was held at Nippon Budokan. This was the live event to commemorate the 5th anniversary since Acid Black Cherry (ABC) and BREAKERZ‘ debut.

The event proceeded in a unique way as there were two band sets on the stage, and ABC and BREAKERZ took turns performing their songs.

With shouts of joy which were almost like roars, ABC and BREAKERZ appeared at opposite ends of the stage. They slowly walked up to each other, and the event started with a firm handshake between yasu and DAIGO.

First, ABC performed the hard tune “Murder License“, and BREAKERZ started with “BIG BANG!” With both of their performances following after one another in rapid succession, it didn’t take too long for the audience to build up in excitement.

During the MC for ABC, yasu revealed that the red scarf in his chest pocket was actually women’s underwear, and made the audience laugh as he said that it didn’t help absorbing his sweat at all. However, the friendly atmosphere suddenly changed when he started the rock ballad “Yes” as the audience was intoxicated by the performance.

More for the awesomeness! )
