2015/08/01 Osaka Prefecture: Maishima ABC Special Venue

For everyone who is planning to attend this Free Live, but probably don't know which one to choose, or already made the choice but don't know about the place and how to go there, I prepared the below guides for you guys.

Centrair Special Outdoor Venue

Centrair in Aichi is an artificial airport island in Ise Bay, 35 km south of Nagoya. Centrair is classified as a first class airport and is the main international gateway for the Chūbu ("central") region of Japan. The name "Centrair" is an abbreviation of Central Japan International Airport. Even though it is an airport, many entertainment events were held there. ABC did the Shangri-la Meeting for Aichi prefecture there as well before.

Access:
The one way journey between Nagoya Station and Central Japan Airport by Meitetsu Railways takes 30 minutes and costs 870 yen by non-reserved seat and 1230 yen by reserved seat.

Special Venue in Makuhari Seaside Park

Makuhari is a commercial district just outside central Tokyo along the shores of Tokyo Bay in Chiba Prefecture. In the late 1980s, the district was built on reclaimed land in a modern style of architecture and with noticeably organized city planning that includes elevated promenades and walkways as well as wide, well designed streets. The district's attractions include a convention center (Makuhari Messe), baseball stadium, lots of shopping and dining and an expansive seaside park (Makuhari Seaside Park).

Access:
Makuhari is centered around JR Kaihin-Makuhari Station (JR Keiyo and JR Musashino Lines). The Makuhari Seaside Park can be accessed from the south exit of Kaihin-Makuhari Station. There are plenty of English signs in the area pointing the way.

Maishima ABC Special Venue

Maishima in Osaka is a sports island. It is a man-made island in Osaka Bay located across the Konohana Bridge. The extensive island has a wide variety of sports facilities, such as a football training ground, an indoor athletic field (Maishima Arena), a baseball stadium and a tennis center (Seaside Tennis Garden). For the concert-goers, this island is famous for Summer Sonic and LIVEs by foreign bands.

Access:
a) Take a city bus No. 81 for Maishima Sports Island at Nishi-Kujo Station on the JR Osaka Loop Line.
OR
b) Take a Maishima Active bus for Maishima Sports Island at JR Sakurajima Station on the JR Sakurajima Line (Yumesaki Line).
